KCK: Turkey is heading to a civil war

ANF            28 July 2011
Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) warned that Turkey may be heading to a civil war because of Turkish government's repressive policies.

KCK's Executive Committee released a written statement holding Turkish government responsible for escalating violence in North Kurdistan.

The statement said the governing AKP is reluctant to take steps which is presented by Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan for solution of Kurdish Question.

KCK said the repressive attacks against the Kurdish people are now systematic and police raids occur daily in Kurdish towns. The organisation accused Turkish government for showing Kurds as targets to fascist attacks.

KCK criticized the mainstream Turkish press for the nationalist writings and said that these publications are clues of an upcoming all-out offensive against Kurdish people.

KCK also paid tribute to Dogan Tayboga who was killed in Silopi by Turkish police and send condolences to Tayboga's family.

The statement also called all Kurds to take defensive measures against the nationalist attacks.
