U.S. threatens Turkey with stronger support for Genocide Resolution

Turkey will have some troubles on Armenian Genocide Resolution next year, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee John Kerry stated in Ankara. He hinted that Turkey should also normalize relations with Israel and back U.S. on Iran’s issue, Turkish Hurriyet daily reports.

Kerry stressed he would do all the best to bring the Senators over not to hold the appointment of U.S. new Ambassador to Turkey. According to him, if he fails to do so, a new candidate will be nominated.
Kerry also referred to the tensed relations between Turkey and Israel.  The U.S. official stressed that he respects Turkish Prime Minister’s standpoint, but hopes for the solution of the existing problems.

“The region is in need of stability and peace,” Kerry underscored. According to him, Israel should be a part of this process. A tensed situation is of no benefit to anyone. We hope for Iran’s assistance on the matter. Iran should enter into a more responsible dialogue with the West, Kerry said.http://news.am/eng/news/37654.html
